At the special business meeting held on June 18, 2018 the membership of Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church voted to make a full and complete transition from Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church to Aurora North End Parish Church under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Jolly on December 31, 2018. We have reached out in faith, believing that God is leading us forward into a vibrant future with a glowing witness for Christ in our North End Community.
The Aurora North End Parish Church is the church plant of Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church. Aurora Church is a non-denominational Christian Church fully supported by the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, formally known as the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches.
Please be in prayer for your Leadership Team whose task now is to lead and guide the church through the transition process in the months ahead.
Diane Crooks, Church Moderator
Mulgrave Park Baptist Church has been in existence since 1950. It has served the North End of Halifax in various capacities over the years. We are now in a transition period. Our congregation, for the most part is elderly. We offer a blended style of worship, and eagerly welcome new people to attend our weekly services and participate in our various ministries. We are also in the process of passing on our legacy to a “church plant” that we established called Aurora North End Community Parish, which is known as our Saturday night congregation. Aurora is a separate entity from Mulgrave Park Baptist, and it’s hopeful, that at some point, will become the mainstay of our kingdom witness in the North End of Halifax.
Vision & Values
Our vision is that all people are created by God and should be honored and valued. However, many people experience injustices, pain and brokenness, and need the practical healing power of God’s love. We therefore will make every effort to share His love through our mission of serving the needs of others. We will do this by working collectively; both through the church family and by connecting with other community groups. We also recognize that every person is on a spiritual journey. We therefore will encourage and help people to learn more about God’s love and His desire to have a personal relationship with them.
While we are in the process of restructuring, some of our programming is on hold. At present we offer a fall and spring Bible Study.
We offer the Alpha Program for new believers, seekers, and those who desire a refreshing of their faith. At present, no date has been set for the next course.
Youth ministries, on hold at present while the restructuring is underway. If you have any questions about our youth programs contact Kevin Jolly, Pastor of Aurora North End Parish church at email@example.com
Little Lights for the babies in our church family
All of our boards and committees are comprised of volunteers. Some work for specific periods of time while others donate their time and talents as needed. There are also those small jobs that require time and attention that are generously handled on an on-going basis. We could not function fully without these unsung heroes including: Church Administrator, Treasurer, Ushers, Custodian, Audio/Visual, Worship Committee, Social Committee, Librarian, Church Clerk, Decorating Committee, Tellers & Recorders, and our Deacons and Trustees.
